I turned up, out of the blue with an intermittent alarm fault. They got me in almost right away to get the car on Tech 2 and identified an alarm siren fault. A new siren had to be ordered in but they fitted me in right away (couldn’t lock the car without the alarm going off at random) and fitted the new alarm in around an hour. Dash had lit up like a christmas tree, and engine had gone in get me home mode on our Vectra with a sudden loss of power and missfiring. Limped into Vauxalist and asked if they could do anything, even though nothing had been booked in they had a look straight away. After getting the fault codes we were asked if we wanted them to go any further with the diagnostics, which we did. The fault was traced to a faulty high pressure fuel pump, Vauxalist had a replacement and was fitted, and we were back on the road within the hour. This was brilliant as we needed the car for school runs and getting to work. Fantastic service, will be recomending Vauxalist to friends and workmates alike. I had to call the RAC due to a rear wheel which had completely seized on my wife’s car. I was informed that the inner brake pad had completely worn causing it to seize up. After recently having a full service from Vauxalist less than 2 months ago and only 400 miles I contacted them as my original report showed rear brake pads were only 60% worn. From previous experiences from other garages including main dealers I wasn’t expecting much, but what a surprise to receive a personal service from Vauxalist. I was told to bring the car in once the RAC had free’d up the wheel and replaced one set of brake pads. Once at Vauxalist I showed them the brake pads (inner and outer), the outer one was at 60% worn as per the original report but the inner one completely gone. They couldn’t have been more apologetic (very rare and nice to hear that a mistake had been made) as it looked like it was missed on the service, as replacing the other side pads on the other wheel were also both at 60% worn which was correct. Both rear brakes were then stripped down and cleaned and the pads replaced with the labour being free of charge plus they replaced the retaining clips free of charge.  All I can say is that I’m highly delighted with Vauxalist for providing a professional and a more personal service than I have ever been given from my local dealership. I certainly will be using them again and recommending them to my friends and faimily. Thank you all at Vauxalist.
